Body Mechanics and the Proper Way To Swing A Golf Club

There truly are no secrets when it comes to the proper way to swing a golf club. Yes, certain people have their own unique slants tailored to fit their own particular skills of body nuances, but overall, there are certain concepts that must be employed in order to build a proper foundation to the swing.

Proper way to swing a golf club tip number one: Right at the start, the person must approach the golf ball as it rests on the tee and get into the proper position. First, balance one’s weight so that weight is neither placed too much forward or too far back. This will stop a misguided transfer of weight to occur while swinging and sending the ball way off the mark upon impact.

Proper way to swing a golf club tip number two: The body must be properly aligned and prepared so that the wrist, elbows, hips and knees are loose and relaxed so that tension does not yield a poor swing. When one opts to start the swing, the swing must not be performed with just the arms. The entire body must be behind the swing in order to transfer the full potential body weight behind the swing in order to drive the ball properly.

Proper way to swing a golf club tip number three: rotate the hips properly so as to fully drive the ball on impact. Furthermore, it is incredibly important to allow the hips to continue moving forward during the entire swing in order to create the proper follow through of the swing. (In other words, do not cease the swing or slow it down upon impact with the ball.

Of course, this is a very brief overview on body mechanics and the ability to swing a golf club, but it offers insights on the attributes that a solid swing can be based around.
